Hurricane Harvey 2017

SERVPRO of Tuscaloosa is proud to be a part of a storm team that bands together when a natural disaster becomes to much for the local communities to handle alone. With that comes some devastating sights and hardships on the crews as well as the communities that have been ravished by the storms. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on Texas and many counties in Louisiana as well. It is noted to be a storm worse than Katrina in 2005. On August 28th, the San Diego Union Tribune reported "three days after what is now a tropical storm made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, has been felt in as many as 50 counties and forced more than 30,000 people from their homes" More updates from FEMA and Red Cross on the financial assistance programs paid out updates daily. Our crews spent just over 4 weeks out in Houston helping house holds strip down to studs and dry so that contractors could begin rebuilding and the community could begin again.
