Moisture Meter Wet Hardwood floors.

When you come home from vacation or an event, you sometimes find a surprise that is not a favorite. Many homeowners come home to find their Tuscaloosa home has suffered a water loss. When you are not home and damage occurs, the damage can be much larger than it appears on the surface. In the picture, you will see our moisture meter reading that the hardwoods are 100% wet  and they will likely not dry in time before the wood is 100% damaged and needs to be replaced. SERVPRO® of Tuscaloosa does have hardwood drying mats which create a "tent" to suck out moisture in a controlled environment. This will help the hardwood flooring dry as quickly as possible and hopefully, not need to be replaced. Restoration versus replacement is our main focus at SERVPRO® of Tuscaloosa.
