Water Damage from Toilet

Your toilet can cause more damage than just an overflow because your toddler sent their aquaman action figure for a swim. There are times when the connection on the back to the toilet may become loose and a slow leak will happen. Sometimes that slow leak can be found quickly or over the course of a few days. This bathroom had one of the pipes in the walls that caused a slow leak saturating the sheet rock. It takes more than just a fan when sheet rock is saturated, a dehumidifier in combination with fans is the optimal situation. There are times, however, when that is not enough and the sheet rock will have to be removed. In this particular situation, a small area was removed in order to dry the wall cavity and get the bathroom back in order. No flooring removal was needed. Luckily this was a small damage!
